Content adaptation based on LMS features/plugins
This involves the customization of educational materials tailored to individual needs using native LMS features and plugins. One of the LMS platforms widely used in ODL institutions is Moodle, which offers an extensive plugin library that can be used to personalise learning content and enhance the learning experiences of distance learners. With current technological developments, there is a growing adoption of adaptive LMS platforms that include built-in functionalities to support the personalisation of learning processes, as well as plugins and features that enable adaptive content creation. Platforms such as Moodle support adaptive content delivery and personalisation through these extensions. Some updated versions also include AI integrations or plugins that support personalised learning functionalities, such as data analytics and assessment tools. These tools help instructors tailor learning content, activities, and assessments based on learners’ needs, characteristics, and profiles, including their progress and performance.

- Learning Tools (Moodle) - Adds a contextual micro-tool tab for individual users to leave notes, set study schedules, or alter text visibility
